State Bank of India (SBI) Recruitment 2013 Project is announced and this time the Bank had decided bumper recruitment and plans to recruit approximately 20,000 people over the next one year.However the Majority of fresh recruits will be Clerks, as SBI is Facing huge Shortage of Clerical staff in its branches.

It is expected that SBI will recruit, 19000 Clerks in 2013. You can go through our previous post on SBI Clerk Recruitment 2013.

SBI PO Recruitment is one of the most awaited recruitment's of the year, as it is is the Only exam that allows bank aspirants to Join the India's No. 1 Public Sector Bank (SBI) at an Officer Level post.

It was only in Aug, 2011 that SBI had conducted the Last PO exam and since then No PO vacancies in SBI are advertised. In April 2012, it was informed by Mr A. Krishna Kumar, Managing Director, SBI, is an Interview Businessline ,that SBI will soon announce 2500 PO vacancies, but there were no vacancies advertised since then.

Even the year 2012 is about to complete and there are no signs of recruitment .So we can expect the SBI PO Recruitment will now be announced in 2013.

Expected Dates:  SBI PO Recruitment 2013 will be announced before the Ist Quarter of 2013 ie (Before April, 2013) Although there is no timeline for SBI PO Recruitment 2013, but it is expected that the bank will advertise the vacancies, only after the Current Recruitment's will be over.

Currently SBI is in the process of recruiting 7740 Clerks in SBI Associate Banks and 543 Specialist Officers.

Vacancies: Initially, it was informed that SBI will hire 2500 Officers, but now with of opening of new bank branches and Delay in recruitment, this Number will surely increase and there is an expectation, that bank will advertise close to 5000 PO vacancies in 2013

Who can apply for SBI PO Recruitment 2013 ?

With the implementation of Khandewal's Committee Recommendation on HR Issues in Public Sector Banks, the Eligibility Criteria for PO Jobs in Public Sector Banks (Including SBI) undergoes a change.

Here are the New Eligibility Conditions to apply for PO Jobs in Public Sector Banks and the same will be for SBI PO Exam 2013.

Age Limit : Min: 20 years and Max: 28 years

Educational Qualifications: A Graduate Degree in any discipline with 60 % marks from a recognized University of India

Other Qualifications : Computer Literacy is must.

Apart from the Changes in the PO Eligibility criteria, Clerk Eligibility criteria also undergoes a change and the changes can be seen in the IBPS Clerk Exam 2012's Eligibility Criteria.

Uh oh, problems with Lautner's first name in the print edition's photo caption as well. What should have been a quick fix - removing the extra L from the advantages and disadvantages of adding emulsifiers to food Talylor - went horribly wrong. From Taylor to Talylor to Tyler. Why stick with T names? Riley Lautner has a nice ring to it.
